The following event of international project, where Sumgayit State University is a partner, entitled “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in higher education institutions” (ERASMUS+EQAC) was held in London, the capital of United Kingdom from February 11 to 15. Along with 11 local universities, several international partners took part in the training held in Middlesex University of London – George Dafoulas from Middlesex University, Denise Galvin from Alicante University of Spain, Inqa Juknyte-Petreikiene from Lithuania University of Applied Social Sciences and Professor Victor from Sweden Royal University of Technology.
The lectures were read in the trainings held within international project on analysis of interesting sides in quality assurance, practical evaluation within national qualification and connection of ability with training outcomes in education. The details of experience of European Higher Education Area in establishment of perfect structure of quality assurance center in higher education area were discussed in 5-day training. Training attendees gained the chance to take part in the lessons of Middlesex University professors. And also the meeting of managers took place. In the meeting it was discussed presenting documents and reports to coordinator in time, keeping on trainings in the universities for sharing knowledge and experience gained abroad.
Our University was represented in the training by chairwoman of International Cooperation Office PhD in history Samira Mammadova, part-time lab. worker of Department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching methods Nihad Huseynov and operator of Quality control and evaluation section Sadagat Fatullayeva. At the end of the event, presentation ceremony of certificates held by the participation of first secretary of Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan Republic to London H.Hasanov. The rector of Middlesex University professor Tim Blackman is also participated in the certificate ceremony of participants.
