The delegation of the Azerbaijan Technological University (UTECA) participated in the trainings organized in London within the framework of the EQAC project (Establishment of Quality Assurance Centers at Azerbaijan Universities ) which funded by European Comission and the coordinator of the project is Baku Business University. Vugar Ismayilov, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Asiman Ilyasov, Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Babek Hasanov, Director of Distant and Part time Education Center, and Quality Assurance Department's Specialist Jale Hamzayeva represented our university.
The main focus of projcet's training with the 11 higher education institutions in Azerbaijan was the establishment of a quality assurance system at local universities.
Azerbaijani partner universities have been interested in the functions and structure of the Quality Assurance Center at Middlesex University in England. The director and coordinators of the Center made presentations on their activities.
The reports prepared by our universities in the trainings were discussed with foreign experts and exchanged views on the work to be done for the formation and development of the center. The next training within the EQAC project is planned to be held in Spain.
