UTECA EQAC team participated in a training at Baku Business University and met with European education experts. Asiman Ilyasov, Head of Quality Assurance Department of the Azerbaijan Technological University, and Sadig Efendiyev, Head of the Department of Masters and Doctoral Studies represented the university. During the two-day training, the key evaluation criteria for the European Education Standards (ESG) were prepared and the current status of the application of these standards within the university was discussed. Representatives of UTECA have exchanged experiences with European education experts.
EQAC (Establishment of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijan Higher Education Institutions) is being implemented through the European Commission-funded ERASMUS + program. The project, implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 5 European and 11 Azerbaijani universities, is aimed at adapting new standards, working with students, student support, evaluating and stimulating the annual activities of the faculty, and applying the European educational institutions (ESGs) in the structural units of the university.
Various trainings have been organized by UTECA staff in England, Lithuania, Sweden and Spain in different dates. The rector of the university Prof. Akif Suleymanov attended the trainings in Lithuania.
