From 13^th  till 19^th  of October, 2019 ASPU representatives – assoc.prof. Eldar Aslanov, Vice-rector on Academic Affairs, Ph.D in political science  Rashad Sadigov – Head of Lifelong learning and innovations participated in training on “Development of Higher Education” organized by KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The meeting within the framework of the project “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijan Universities” (EQAC) coordinated by Baku Business University with the financial support of European Commission was attended by the representatives of 11 partner universities from Azerbaijan and 6 other countries of the world – Japan, Chine, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. In 5 days study trip the presentations on new strategies in development of higher education, sustainable development and its integration into higher education, implementation of new teaching methods and models, the role of  CDIO standards in quality assurance and its main principals were displayed by the leading specialists of KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Training covered the topics about teaching process in KTH Royal Institute of Technology, involvement of students into the learning process, integration opportunities of sustainable development into the teaching process and study programmes, importance of active learning, development of research competences  of students, working principals of teachers with groups and teams, evaluation measures, its types, and etc. An excursion to the KTH Royal Institute of Technology was organized within the study trip to be acquainted the university infrastructure. In addition, on 18^th of October, 2019 the Independence Day of Azerbaijan Republic celebrated by the Azerbaijani participants in the training. All the participants of the international training were awarded by the certificates.
