ATMU representatives participated in a training week in Lithuania
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijan Universities”, on November 18-22, the representatives of the Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University (ATMU) participated in a training week in Vilnius, Lithuania.
 
ATMU was represented by the head of the Department of Education, Mr. Simnar Mamedov and the specialist of the International Relations Office, Ms.Faina Gachabayova. During the five-day trainings, participants attended seminars devoted to the concept of Total Quality Management (TQC), the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” (PDCA) model, problem solving methods, and change management. During the training, educational experts from the Lithuanian Economic Advisory and Research Closed Joint Stock Company, Mr. Alvidas Punis and Ms. Laura Senkeviciuten provided presentations on quality related topic. The use of QPR software portal was introduced to the participants. In addition, during the practical seminars conducted by Ms. Inga Juknyte-Petreikiene, a representative of the SMK Social Sciences University, the participants were closely involved in the fulfilment of the tasks assigned in the training agenda.
 
In the final session of the training, a video reflecting the trainings and activities organized over the project was shown to the participants. In the following phase of the poject, based on the experience gained, it is planned to hold trainings and awareness-raising activities for teachers and administrative staff at ATMU.
