Despite the temporary closure of educational institutions during the new type of coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), joint efforts to ensure the sustainable operation of higher education institutions continue in online form.

A vivid example of this is the virtual discussion of the project “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centers in Azerbaijan Universities, EQAC”, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

The representative of the Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University (ATMU) Faina Gachabayova, head of the Scientific Innovations Unit of the Science and Innovation Department, and project manager of EQAC on behalf of ATMU took part in a virtual meeting.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of 11 universities in Azerbaijan and experts from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, the University of Middlesex in the UK and the University of Alicante in Spain. The agenda included discussions on the implementation of the project in accordance with the plan, future activities and current issues, including the preparation of a report on the pilot program.
