Recognizing quality assurance as a collective value, the Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University (ATMU) places particular emphasis on the application of international experience in this field and implements a number of projects funded by the EU-funded Erasmus + Higher Education Capacity Building Program.
One of such projects is the project "Establishment and Development of Quality Control Centers in Azerbaijani Universities, EQAC" has been implemented since 2018 under the coordination of the Baku Business University (BBU). Monitoring was held at ATMU within the project. EQAC project coordinator Gulshan Bayramova, the Monitoring Commission consisting of representatives of the Lithuanian University of Applied Sciences and Azerbaijan Cooperation University, as well as a representative of the Erasmus+ National Office participated in the monitoring.
Rector of ATMU Ilham Madatov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Zaur Bagirov, Rector's Adviser Elvin Yusifli, EQAC Project Manager, Head of Scientific Innovation Department Faina Gachabeyova, as well as Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Bahadur Bilalov, Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department and specialist Bahruz Isgandarov informed the members of the Monitoring Commission about the results achieved by the university in the field of quality assurance. At the same time, the project participants on behalf of ATMU answered the relevant questions.
Within the framework of the project monitoring, Elvin Yusifli and Saida Mammadova (Deputy Head of the Career and Communications Department) participated as members of the Monitoring Commission in the meetings held at the Azerbaijan Technological University and Ganja State University, which are the beneficiaries of the EQAC project along with ATMU.
